During the Colloquium population health experts will address many of the pressing issues facing patients, health care providers, and community leaders. The Colloquium will provide an opportunity to collaborate and discuss with stakeholders ways to address access to essential services. The focus of this year’s Colloquium is The Health of the Black Family and will address clinical, policy and social determinants of health and their impact on individual opportunities to earn a good living, live and work in a safe and healthy environment. Another focus will be how to effectively use available social services and health resources to optimize and maximize health care and disease prevention. Additionally, our signature NMA Awards will also be presented to leaders in health equity.
